About the Brand
Patagonia is a California-based outdoor clothing company founded in 1973.
Yves Chouinard started off by just selling climbing apparel and equipment.
Through the time, he decided to include other types of outdoor wear and equipment as well (Deleon, 2018).
Nowadays, it is a brand well-known by its products, and its environmental and social commitments with the planet.

As of now, it is “We’re in business to save our home planet.”

Materials Used in Production
The cotton used by Patagonia is entirely certified organic by the Global Organic Textile Standard.
Some other fabrics are bluesign certified.
“A high proportion of its materials are made from recycled fabrics, including its polyester, nylon, and wool” (Wolfe, 2020).

The famous “sushi rolls” or hexagonal-shaped boxes are used to package base layers.

The Patagonia Supplier Workplace Code of Conduct ensures ethical treatments towards all supply chain workers (Patagonia, n.d.).
