This assignment is a written assignment where students will demonstrate how this course research has connected and put into practice within their own career.
Assignment:
Provide a reflection of at least 500 words (or 2 pages double spaced) of how the knowledge, skills, or theories of this course have been applied, or could be applied, in a practical manner to your current work environment. If you are not currently working, share times when you have or could observe these theories and knowledge could be applied to an employment opportunity in your field of study.
Requirements:
1. Provide a 500 word (or 2 pages double spaced) minimum reflection.

Use proper APA formatting and citations. If supporting evidence from outside resources is used those must be properly cited. Question to ponder… should references be used in a personal reflection paper?
3. Share a personal connection that identifies specific knowledge and theories from this course.

1 FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS, I HAVE BEEN AN INFORMATION SYSTEM
MANAGER. THROUGHOUT MY ENTIRE CAREER, THE KNOWLEDGE AND
SKILLS IN CLOUD COMPUTING HAVE ENABLED ME TO HELP MY
ORGANIZATION TO MANAGE ITS INFORMATION SYSTEM EFFECTIVELY.
RUNNING A DEDICATED SERVER OF THE ORGANIZATION IS QUITE
CHALLENGING AND EXPENSIVE. This makes my work as an information system
manager difficult. The technology of cloud computing is growing daily and daily, and the
organization needs to implement it. 1 I NEED TO TAKE ANOTHER COURSE IN
CLOUD COMPUTING TO ADVANCE MY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE FURTHER,
WHICH HELP MY ORGANIZATION IN BETTER MANAGEMENT AND ACHIEVE
BETTER TECHNOLOGY IN THE ORGANIZATION.
I REQUIRED MORE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN CLOUD COMPUTING
TECHNOLOGY SINCE THE CLOUD TECHNOLOGY IS NOT REGULATED IN THE
MARKETPLACE. As an Information system manager, I required these skills, which help my
organization during the purchase of software. 1 THESE SKILLS HELP ME ENSURE
THAT THE ORGANIZATION IS PURCHASING APPROPRIATE SOFTWARE AND
ENSURING THAT THE LICENSING LAW IS FOLLOWED. In the current market,
there is a wide range of cloud services offered by cloud service providers. 1 USING THE
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IN CLOUD COMPUTING, I WAS ABLE TO
SUCCESSFULLY HELP MY ORGANIZATION CHOOSE THE BEST CLOUD
SERVICES BASED ON THE SERVICES MY ORGANIZATION REQUIRES.
DURING PROCURING SERVICES FROM A CLOUD PROVIDER, THE SERVICE
LEVEL AGREEMENT (SLA) IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT. IT IS THE DUTY
AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INFORMATION SYSTEM MANAGER TO HELP
THE ORGANIZATION WITH THE NECESSITIES OF SERVICE LEVEL
AGREEMENT (SLA) AND ENSURES THAT IT SERVES THE INTERESTS OF THE
ORGANIZATION (ERL, MAHMOOD, & PUTTINI, 2014). Failure to meet the required
standards of the SLA agreement may have some repercussions on the organization and may
cost the organization a lot of resources.

Working as an Information system manager, it is my responsibility to ensure that my
organization network system is secure. From this course of cloud computing, I was able to get
skills and knowledge about IaaS, PaaS, and On-premises cloud platform security. These skills
and knowledge enable me to understand different levels of security and other properties,
which enabled me to help my organization secure the best cloud platform that suits its
requirement (Jamsa, 2013).
In conclusion, cloud computing skills and knowledge were essential during my career. These
skills and knowledge help me perform my duties well and help my organization in better
management of the information system and its security. This will reduce the cost which the
organization could have used to solve the information management issues in the organization.
