Positioning
Marketing Management marketing
Positioning – is creating the message for your target customers that lets them know how your product provides unique value relative to the competition.
Feel free to leverage the MARCOM material of Tesla Powerwall and its competitors as you develop your positioning.
Hint: Sometimes the best way to support your positioning statement is by including a table with the statement. You have all seen those tables that show feature comparisons between products.
After you complete your market research submit a snapshot based on today’s product of the following:
1.
1. Positioning statement for the current Tesla Powerwall
2. Major competitors in your chosen target market(s)
3. Tesla Powerwall and Competitors’ features (remember the SWOT from Industry Survey)
4. Tesla Powerwall and Competitors’ extended features (service/support/financing/etc.)
5. Tesla Powerwall and Competitors’ pricing
6. Analysis of the sustainability of the current product position over the 5-year horizon
7. Anticipated feature changes required to the current product to maintain the growth path of the current product over the 5-year horizon, or, a fact-based explanation of why no changes are required over the 5-year horizon
8. Anticipated pricing over the 5-year horizon
