  3.   Fully relate Glaucon’s metaphor of the Ring of Gyges, in Republic, book two.  Explain the story and what Glaucon thinks it shows about justice and the challenge that he raises to Socrates’ account of justice.  Make sure to explain what Glaucon is looking for in a full account of justice from Socrates.
