Week 9 Primary Assignment:
1. Research and compare the immigration platforms of two organizations:
a. One American political party (Democrat, Republican, or Libertarian), and
b. One “Special Interest Group” that is ideologically opposed to the political party you chose in section 1(a) above

2. Complete the Immigration Form:
a. Fill out the table completely with in-text citations for your references
b. You may paraphrase, but should not use direct quotes in the table
3. Write an essay answering the question: Do the platforms of the organizations you examined align with the facts provided in the assigned course materials?
a. Your essay should be based upon the following format:
i. Opening paragraph including a clear
thesis statement
(100 words)
ii. Answer the question using quotes and paraphrasing, as applicable, with in-text citations for your references. Make sure there is critical analysis in your own words, as well. (350+ words)
iii. Conclusion that re-caps your major arguments and makes a final closing statement (100 words)
b. Provide specific examples throughout.
c. Include at least three of these required readings as references + one from a past week! You must also cite to the two organizations used on your chart. Use your assignment to tell the reader the main ideas and themes expressed in the assigned reading articles.
