1. According to the Skillman, the marshmallow challenge is described as a team of 4 building a structure of 2 sticks of spaghetti, one yard of tape and marshmallow at that top. Although this structure wuilding seems easy because it in a form of teamwork it is not. It’s quit hard being that it forces people to work together rather quickly. The lesson from this challenege is that  CEO’s jock for power and form structures poorly because they runout of time and when the marshallow is placed on the top the structure collapse. Whereas the kindegardens, kept the marshmallow on the top when building the structure can be fixed to be succesive by building prototypes along the way.

2. The Marshmellow Challenge is a simple team-building exercise that involves dry spaghetti, one yard of tape and a marshmallow. The lesson of the challenge is that everyone has one goal, which is to create a stable structure with a marshmellow on top. In order to complete the goal, you must understand the value of prototyping and apply the best of your thinking towards the group so you may have a higher chance of being sucessfull.

3. After watching the Ted Talk, the marshmallow challenge is where there is a team of four 4 people that have to build the tallest free-standing structure. The type of supplies the team are given are 20 sticks of spaghetti, one yard of tape, one yard of string, and one marshmallow which has to be on the top. The teams have 18 minutes to build the tallest free-standing structure with these types of supply. The process of this challenge is actually difficult and it forces people to collaborate very quickly within 18 minutes. This helps the team work together overall to accomplish the goal. Collaboration is the key to success which helps the team as a whole. The team have to orient, plan, build, and to do. This process gives the teams the best chance to succeed. The lesson of the marshmallow challenge is that the whole team has to work together to complete this challenge where they have to build the tallest free-standing structure. Another lesson was creating prototypes along the way to complete the exercise and each team member have to apply their thinking and it can create a difference.

4. According to the Ted talk, the marshmellow challange is a group of 4 people have to make a freestanding structure using 20 peices of spaghetti, a yard of tape and string, and a marshmellow as a topper. The first thing I learned about the challange is that I am in the wrong major, lol. Business school graduates were the worst performers. But seriously, I think that it is an excercize in team building and cooperation. Making a tower in a group should be easy but otherwise smart and capable people get in thier own way. I think that competition is a good thing but it can hamper you in a team setting.

5. After watching this interesting Ted Talk, I see where teamwork and improvising lie within it. In the Marshmellow challenge, it is a team-building exercise where a team of 4 builds 2 towers completely made of dry spaghetti, a yard of tape, and a marshmallow. It allows the team to experience simple lessons in creativity, innovation, and collaboration. I once did a similar team-building activity in high school where we were to build a large tower with cans and paper but we were only allowed to talk while planning but when we start building, we were not to talk and only use signaling like pointing or snapping fingers. This activity has been practiced in graduate business schools, architects, and even CEOs.
