The Danger of a Single Story
.
Over the last 8 weeks, we have discussed how “a single story” can be damaging. Using references from the text, and referencing the video, please detail a time in your life when you felt like someone was reducing you/your experience to a ‘single story’. (A time when you felt discriminated against.) What was the effect this had on you? How did you handle the situation at the time? If you had to go back, knowing what you know now, what would you do differently, if anything, and why would you chose to respond that way?
Please make your response a minimum of 2 pages, double spaced. At least two references from the text, video, or credible additional outside sources in your paper.
