60. Draw and explain how a grease trap works? Where are they mainly used?
Source: Plumbing Supply
Grease traps are mostly used in restaurants and lodging facilities
The grease trap storage tanks receive waters from dishwashers, sinks, and floor drainers and acts as a reservoir slowing and holding the waste waters and food solids that enter. As the waste water cools, the fats, oils, and grease harden and being lighter they float to the top, with waste water at the center, and the food solids settle to the ground. The waste water is then forced through the grease tap from the primary tank to the secondary tank and onto the sewer or septic. The fats, oils, and grease and solids remain in the tank increasing in volume on a day to day basis.
61. Jacuzzis or hot tubs are harder to maintain than a swimming pool. True or False Explain why or why not.
True. Jacuzzis and hot tubs are harder to maintain than swimming pools
Unlike a swimming pool, which rarely ever needs drained, hot tubs and spas need to be drained, thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and refilled every 3-4 months.
Jacuzzis and hot tubs also have a low water volume to person ratio. Paired with the fact that chemicals and filters can only do so much to maintain water quality.
