 Review the four elements of inductive guidance with students. Write out a scenario using inductive guidance in action. Pretend you are working in teams of 2 people, first-person is the “child” and act out a scene showing inappropriate behavior. The second person is the “teacher” and will demonstrate inductive guidance using the guidelines on page 231. Give 3 scenarios.

In addition answer these questions: Were you spanked? Do you think you will spank your own children? Why? What is the most difficult guidance situation for you to handle? Why do you think it is such a challenge for you? How are guidance and self-esteem related?
