Assignment: Personal Leadership Philosophies

Many of us can think of leaders we have come to admire, be they historical figures, pillars of the industry we work in, or leaders we know personally. The leadership of individuals such as Abraham Lincoln and Margaret Thatcher has been studied and discussed repeatedly. However, you may have interacted with leaders you feel demonstrated equally competent leadership without ever having a book written about their approaches.

What makes great leaders great? Every leader is different, of course, but one area of commonality is the leadership philosophy that great leaders develop and practice. A leadership philosophy is basically an attitude held by leaders that acts as a guiding principle for their behavior. While formal theories on leadership continue to evolve over time, great leaders seem to adhere to an overarching philosophy that steers their actions.

What is your leadership philosophy? In this Assignment, you will explore what guides your own leadership.

Many years of research conducted by The Gallup Organization suggest that the most effective people are
those who understand their strengths and behaviors. These people are best able to develop strategies to
meet and exceed the demands of their daily lives, their careers, and their families.

A review of the knowledge and skills you have acquired can provide a basic sense of your abilities, but an
awareness and understanding of your natural talents will provide true insight into the core reasons behind
    your consistent successes.

Your Signature Themes report presents your five most dominant themes of talent, in the rank order
revealed by your responses to StrengthsFinder. Of the 3

    4

themes measured, these are your “top five.”

Your Signature Themes are very important in maximizing the talents that lead to your successes. By
focusing on your Signature Themes, separately and in combination, you can identify your talents, build
them into strengths, and enjoy personal and career success through consistent, near-perfect performance.

    Harmony
You look for areas of agreement. In your view there is little to be gained from conflict and friction, so you
seek to hold them to a minimum. When you know that the people around you hold differing views, you try
to find the common ground. You try to steer them away from confrontation and toward harmony. In fact,
harmony is one of your guiding values. You can’t quite believe how much time is wasted by people trying to
impose their views on others. Wouldn’t we all be more productive if we kept our opinions in check and
instead looked for consensus and support? You believe we would, and you live by that belief. When others
are sounding off about their goals, their claims, and their fervently held opinions, you hold your peace.
When others strike out in a direction, you will willingly, in the service of harmony, modify your own
objectives to merge with theirs (as long as their basic values do not clash with yours). When others start to
argue about their pet theory or concept, you steer clear of the debate, preferring to talk about practical,
down-to-earth matters on which you can all agree. In your view we are all in the same boat, and we need
this boat to get where we are going. It is a good boat. There is no need to rock it just to show that you can.

    Responsibility
Your Responsibility theme forces you to take psychological ownership for anything you commit to, and

    2

whether large or small, you feel emotionally bound to follow it through to completion. Your good name
depends on it. If for some reason you cannot deliver, you automatically start to look for ways to make it up
to the other person. Apologies are not enough. Excuses and rationalizations are totally unacceptable. You
will not quite be able to live with yourself until you have made restitution. This conscientiousness, this near
obsession for doing things right, and your impeccable ethics, combine to create your reputation: utterly
dependable. When assigning new responsibilities, people will look to you first because they know it will get
done. When people come to you for help—and they soon will—you must be selective. Your willingness to
volunteer may sometimes lead you to take on more than you should.

    Adaptability
You live in the moment. You don’t see the future as a fixed destination. Instead, you see it as a place that
you create out of the choices that you make right now. And so you discover your future one choice at a
time. This doesn’t mean that you don’t have plans. You probably do. But this theme of Adaptability does
enable you to respond willingly to the demands of the moment even if they pull you away from your plans.
Unlike some, you don’t resent sudden requests or unforeseen detours. You expect them. They are
inevitable. Indeed, on some level you actually look forward to them. You are, at heart, a very flexible
person who can stay productive when the demands of work are pulling you in many different directions at
    once.

    Learner
You love to learn. The subject matter that interests you most will be determined by your other themes and
experiences, but whatever the subject, you will always be drawn to the process of learning. The process,
more than the content or the result, is especially exciting for you. You are energized by the steady and
deliberate journey from ignorance to competence. The thrill of the first few facts, the early efforts to recite
or practice what you have learned, the growing confidence of a skill mastered—this is the process that
entices you. Your excitement leads you to engage in adult learning experiences—yoga or piano lessons or
graduate classes. It enables you to thrive in dynamic work environments where you are asked to take on
short project assignments and are expected to learn a lot about the new subject matter in a short period of
time and then move on to the next one. This Learner theme does not necessarily mean that you seek to
become the subject matter expert, or that you are striving for the respect that accompanies a professional
or academic credential. The outcome of the learning is less significant than the “getting there.”

    Arranger
You are a conductor. When faced with a complex situation involving many factors, you enjoy managing all
of the variables, aligning and realigning them until you are sure you have arranged them in the most
productive configuration possible. In your mind there is nothing special about what you are doing. You are
simply trying to figure out the best way to get things done. But others, lacking this theme, will be in awe of
your ability. “How can you keep so many things in your head at once?” they will ask. “How can you stay so
flexible, so willing to shelve well-laid plans in favor of some brand-new configuration that has just occurred
to you?” But you cannot imagine behaving in any other way. You are a shining example of effective
flexibility, whether you are changing travel schedules at the last minute because a better fare has popped
up or mulling over just the right combination of people and resources to accomplish a new project. From
the mundane to the complex, you are always looking for the perfect configuration. Of course, you are at
your best in dynamic situations. Confronted with the unexpected, some complain that plans devised with
such care cannot be changed, while others take refuge in the existing rules or procedures. You don’t do
either. Instead, you jump into the confusion, devising new options, hunting for new paths of least
resistance, and figuring out new partnerships—because, after all, there might just be a better way.

Module 1 Assignment: Case Study Analysis

    Introduction

In such a case study, there are various factors which should be considered other than the isolated cell behavior (consider clarifying what is meant by isolated cell behavior) . Such factors include the genes of the involved patient, the location (clarify location) and environmental condition of the given area (what is the intention by “given area”?) and the prevailing characteristics (what are prevailing characteristics of the patient?) of the given patient. In addition, race Race and ethnicity of the said client also plays a big role clarify “big role” since there various characteristics and trend associated with given individuals of a certain ethnic group or certain race. Consider clarifying subjective terms and or phrases which will offer the opportunity for the reader to have an exact impression of what you mean. Per WU, the purpose of this paper will be to discuss…..

Why the Patient Presented the System Described

The patient presented the symptoms mainly because of the acute graft rejection. Weight gain resulted from interstitial fluid retention, a decline in urine production, and declining renal function how is this determined and assessed? . Fever resulted from infection and immune suppression. Do you have a credible reference reflective of evidence-based medicine? I was looking for additional content reflective of the maladaptive physiological response.

Genes that’s that? may be Associated with the Development of Disease

The immune response to the graft partially depended on the gene disparity amid the host and the grafted organ. Xenograft, which occurs between different species members, exhibited the greatest disparity and elicited maximum immune response, experienced quick rejection. While Auto grafts autografts? are usually foreign tissues, hence they do not elicit rejection (Kwatra et al., 2017). On the other hand, Isograft, a graft that occurs amid a genetically identical person, did not undergo any form of rejection. The allograft, a graft that occurs amongst individuals for the same species, has different genes and represents the most common transplantation form. The measure to which the allograft undergoes rejection mainly depending on the extent of histocompatibility or the similarity between the donor and the recipient (Amini & Poorolajal, 2017). Consider including information specific to genes and post-transplant rejection associated with the case scenario.

The Process of Immunosuppression and the effect it has on body Systems

The rejection of the genetically disparate tissue is usually a result of histocompatibility antigens, products of the histocompatibility genes. These antigens are encrypted on about 40 loci, located in the main histocompatibility complex (MHC) near the complementary genes. The MHC genes are codominant expressed, meaning that all people usually express the genes on the cell surface from the alleles (Smedman et al., 2018).

The central cells involved in a draft rejection are the T cells, although other cells are also involved. The rejection reaction comprises both the effectors and sensitization stage. Consider a paragraph should be more than one sentence.

Upon transplantation, acute rejection usually manifests itself after the first six months. It is mediated by lymphocytes tissues of the recipients, activated against the donor antigen. The dendritic cells in the donor go into the circulation and acts as antigen-presenting cells. The humoral rejection is a subsequent dysfunction and allograft injury and occurs after post-transplantation, mainly in the first week. Proteinuria is linked with the specific donor antibody detected and controls swift glomerular filtration rate deterioration and past graft failure in patients who are the risk of developing de novo HLA antibodies. Is there a credible reference in support of this content?

Conclusion Consider a conclusion that his reflective of specific content related to the case scenario assigned.

From this case study, it is clear that adverse (what is meant by adverse knowledge?) knowledge on symptoms of altercations in cellular processes when diagnosing a patient is fundamental in the process of proper treatment of many diseases. Through proper (what is meant by proper?) understanding of various (what is meant by various?) parameters surrounding a patient, a healthcare officer (not sure what is meant by a healthcare officer?) can treat the patient patients’accordingly and alsoand advise them appropriately (define appropriately).

The Circulatory System and the Respiratory System

The circulatory system and the respiratory system works together to make sure that the organ tissues get sufficient oxygen. Oxygen is needed for the cellular operations of the body. In addition the body (body organ systems?) parts as well work together in order to remove carbon dioxide. In this assignment we shall The purpose of this paper will be to review the assigned case scenario provided and provide details on the cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary pathophysiologic processes which result in the patient showing the symptoms; the racial variables which may impact the physiologic functioning; and how the process interact to impact the patient.

The Cardiovascular and Cardiopulmonary Pathophysiologic Processes

The patient has a high probability (further clarify high probability) from Pneumonia. This is because the signs and symptoms (include signs and symptoms so the reader has a better understanding of what was meant) that she has been experiencing are highly associated with pneumonia. The illness involves an infectious organism that gets to (clarify get to) the alveoli and they are highly virulent, since they tend to have evaded the host’s physical defense mechanisms. Due to this they (clarify “they”) tend to overwhelm the macrophages, thus leading to the generation of fibrin rich exudates which occupies the infected as well as the neighboring alveolar spaces thus causing them to remain together, thus causing them to be airless. The inflammatory response as well causes proliferation of neutrophils (ALA, 2020). This (clarify “this”) can result to the damaging of the lung tissue, resulting to fibrosis and pulmonary edema that makes it hard for lung expansion to take place.

The inflammatory response can as well lead to the development of pleural effusion that complicates the cases of pneumonia. Due to this the patient tends to experience complications in gas exchange. Due to this, vital organs tend to have little oxygen and the respiratory effort needed with every breath will be maximized due to the issues in the normal physiology (Jain-review APA guidelines for correct format) , et al., 2020. Respiratory rate? as well as heart rate may maximize die due? to the reduced oxygen and increased carbon dioxide.

    Racial/Ethnic Variables

People of specific racial and ethnic groups in specific Alaska Natives, African American, and Specific (clarify specific?) American Indian groups and as well have maximizes rates of the illness. HoweverHowever, it is not yet known for the risk by race and ethnicity with specific but it was else observed for invasive Hemopahilus influenza infection that is as well caused by an encapsulated bacterium (This seems a bit confusion. Specific followed by with specific?) . Africans tend to suffer from pneumonia due to maximized indoor air pollution due to cooking and heating with biomass fuels. They as well tend to live in crowded home which maximize the ability of one suffering from pneumonia. Is this is your opinion or cited by credible references from the literature?

How the Processes interact to impact the patient.

Pneumonia processes causes inflammation in the air sacs of the lungs which leads to the building up of fluids which it difficult to breathe. Pneumonia processes mainly impacts the lungs but the complications can result to issued in other parts of the body, this can be serious and fatal. The increase of the fluid maximizes the complications. Fluids that occupy one are referred to as abscess. If the infection and the fluid builds up it gets more severe and can prevent the lungs from carrying out its functions. The lungs can at times lose the ability to add oxygen to the blood and remove carbon dioxide at the right levels, thus resulting to respiratory failure (Quinton, Walkey, & Mizgerd, Review APA guidelines regarding citing more than 2 authors in the correct format. 2018).

Basically Tthe patient presented in the case scenario is suffering from (the assigned case scenario reflect COPD) Pneumonia. This is a fatal illness that mainly affects the respiratory system. The condition’s processes can result to lung failure as well as breathing problems. In regard to racial factors, the illness tends to affect the African-Americans more than the Whites. Is this your opinion or cited from credible references from the literature?
