COLLEEN:
My only experience with a using an ergonomic risk assessment tool is an interactive form base. It was somewhat effective, we only asked a small portion of the work group. I do not think its objective overall if someone wanted to take short cuts it would be easy to do so. We had another program we were trailing out, it was were would ask employees what part of their body they used more during a task and then input it in. After the input then the program would analyze the risk and give suggestions for improvements. I also feel this would be subjective to who is asked the even the person inputing the data. Direct measurement would a better use of time and could give more objective results.
