Hi, Ariel.
I agree with you that selecting the specialty of master’s in nursing is not at all an easy task. Considering many factors and the passion all together made you chose psychiatric nursing.
I had a great consideration for oncology patients because a significant part of my experience was in the oncology OR. Later I found that the mind is the basis of everything, so I thought I would concentrate on PMHNP. The whole health of any human being and the response to any treatment will depend on the mind.
As you pursue your career in mental health nursing practice, I am pretty sure you will reach your vision and contribute to social change through education at Walden.(Walden University, 2020)
The American Nurses Association sets the code of ethics and professional standards for the nurses. It helps in professional growth and has a role in advocating for the patients. Overall your membership in ANA and career in PMHNP will have great success.(American Nurses Association(ANA), n.d.)

figure out how I could improve patient care and I finally found that I could only achieve this if I go an extra
mile in advancing my career. However, this had many challenges because I had lacked institutions that could
make me achieve my ambitions, but in the course of time I was enrolled to pursue the program.
One of the organizations I joined was the American Nurses Association and I would like to work even
harder in improving my career (American Nurses Association). As an affiliate to this organization I am sure I
will be able to improve standards of nursing care and promote a safer and ethical work environment. Besides,
I am sure my wellbeing as a nurse will also be improved and all issues affecting nursing professionals
addressed adequately.
