In the video lecture, our professor talks about how religion or religion movement are born and how they’re changed in time. Religion by time it changes, it moves, it becomes more open, it changes in shape and it moves to different directions. The one factor that Americans like about religion is the fact that it works, and religion works for some Americans. The Professor talks about how the area of California has so many different Christian churches and directions and what are their functions and sometimes they say their goal or approach, but they don’t fully act what’s their approach. For instance: denomination churches and how many denominations they focus on “none denomination churches” and as the Professor says that they are “stealth denomination churches.” We end this lecture with the term of “Humanism” and how is humanism is continually growing. Humanism is here to stay and is a rational Philosophy informed by Science, it’s inspired by art, its motivated by compassion, and finally informing by the dignity of each human being because each of us has values.
