The development of the team is the foundation that the businesses are performing well in the different operation. The comprehensive communication and interaction is necessary to have the good team where all the members can share their thoughts, ideas, opinion at the same platform and there is no one who is superior of inferior to others. Every member of the team must having the same exhibiting characteristics to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. If a team lacks the comprehensive characteristics that are required for the operational development, then it leaves the negative impact on the system (Queensland et al., 2012). There are six different parameters of the team that ensure that either a team would be successful or not and these can be described as

·         Effective communication is the key of success where everyone have the opportunity to share their perspective.

·         The diversity and heterogeneity of the team help them to implement their skills and knowledge as to solve the organizational problem.

·         The goals, vision and the roles, responsibilities of the team must be clear to them as it provides them a direction of work.

·         Leader provides the feedback and criticize the work if there is something not going well, and he is the one who is trustworthy (Keller, 2006).

·         The team members should have the trust and respect the opinion of others.

·         The cohesiveness of team and trust can help them to manage the conflict.

Leader is the necessary component to develop a best and successful team as he is the one who increase the engagement and interaction of the team through the provision of feedback and criticism on the different perspective, ideas, and thoughts. It provides the opportunity to the team members to think out of the box. These characteristics help to make them successful and cohesive team (Keller, 2006).

What makes a team truly successful over the long run? How can leaders ensure that once achieved success can be maintained?

For this discussion let’s talk about which team truly will be successful over the long run and how the team leaders can ensure that is maintained. A team is a group of members from various cultures, background and knowledge working towards achieving a common goal or trying to solve a problem by working together. A team can be successful only if all the team members work together like a single organism says Glenn Llopis (October 2012). The team members should understand each other, gain trust, help each other and complement each other so that the goals they are trying to reach or the problem they are trying to solve seem effortless.

We all work in teams right from our childhood, we have seen best teams winning awards and rewards. For a team to be successful a leader plays a key role, right from hiring the best team members for his/her team the team leader needs to understand the skills of each person in the team and encouraging in that direction. Also, constant appreciation is very much necessary for the team to be always motivated which generates a positive attitude, makes the team member equally wanted and make them feel belonged in the team. A successful team leader not only designs a strategic vision but also train and lead the team in that direction without any friction between the team members. This is the way any successful team can be maintained and progressed in the organization.

A team leader can course correct the decision made by making hard decision and establish standard set of rules to thrive the team towards the successfully path. A successful leader can maintain the team successfully by paying attention to each and every detail in the team management for its durability.

Several ways are there for the team to achieve success for a long time. First, the team has to know about how they work. They should assess themselves and if there are any things to be improved more that should be done. If the team has better intentions then they have to be accountable. If you are the leader of the team then know about the remaining members. The liabilities and roles of the job must be explained clearly to the team. The liabilities of the members will be based on each other. All the members should work effectively to achieve the objectives. If any people are not working better then instead of firing them from the job the leader of the team must bring out the talents from the person.  Feedbacks play a crucial role in the long run  (Dyer, 2015).

There should be constant feedback about the team and the company. Each team in the company has distinct dynamics. Make some time to tell about the positives of the team and how they are working. The leader must acknowledge the members and praise them sometimes. So this would be an encouragement for the team to work far better and the team will be satisfied. The success of the team must be celebrated every time. This will reflect the team about what they have achieved. They should be rewarded for the hard work they have done. In the present world, many of them are not spending much time to know about the reason for the success. The celebration of the achievement should be ignored (Reina, Reina, & Hudnut, 2017).
