The company I have chosen here is Amazon. Amazon is one of the best search engines for business. It has been in the business for more than 20 years. The vision statement is the company’s overall, overarching and overall goals, visions, and objectives regarding business operations, customers, products, and other relevant aspects. Amazon aims to be an innovative company that can contribute to develop a more inclusive and competitive world in which innovation thrives. The vision statement identifies the operational goals of Amazon as well as identifies the vision of leadership as it relates to those goals. Amazon has a plan of action, strategy, growth forecast, and target, all of which is related to improving its existing business. The vision statement also describes the company’s long-term business goals. The business goals are to create an even more engaging and differentiated experience across its online and offline stores. The company’s plans for building a more inviting, personalized and personalized online experience for its customers have outlined in the vision statement. The strategic plan also indicates its long-term goals for improvement (Cho, 2019). The vision statement also specifies the goals that Amazon hopes to achieve through its operations. The goals include

· Growth in new digital products,
· Better integration of Amazon and e-commerce products and services in markets,
· Further developing product and service innovation,

AIG’s vision statement is – “We aspire to be our clients’ most valued insurer” (American International Group, 2015). One of the most effective elements of this vision statement is that it is forward-looking, as suggested by the word “aspire”.
AIG’s mission statement is – “We reduce fear of the future and empower our clients through our risk expertise and financial strength” (American International Group, 2015). The mission statement does not reflect the products or services AIG offers to its clients.
operations of AIG are wide-ranging, the company perhaps tried to adopt short yet powerful statements in both their vision and mission statements. Despite the wide range of offerings, their products and services are centered around insurance, retirement readiness, and financial services. Considering this aspect, a recommendation to their mission statement would be that AIG could highlight the most distinguishing feature of their service. This would give them an edge over innumerable insurance and financial service firms in the market. Similarly, AIG can make its vision statement more strategic by adding specificity to its future directional course. According to Thompson et al. (2019), what a company says about its future strategic course is a defining characteristic of a strategic vision. Being clear about the path that company is taking would encourage the workforce to make decisions confidently and help gain shareholders’ trust.
