Aim:
To investigate the performance, search strategies and resources used by students searching for a certain topic in Human Computer Interaction.

Note:
· Up to date and Useful references will be provided mostly from journal papers, conference papers, books, technical reports, magazines etc.
· Drafts can be checked during week 4
· Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. If plagiarism exceed 20% that will result in zero marks. Use only ithenticate or assignsafe for blackboard for plagiarism checking.
· Students have the right to discuss the results and explain their opinions
· One topic could be selected by one group in the class i.e. maximum 4 students.
· The class leader is responsible for providing me the name with selected topic of whole class.
· Late submission will result in marks deduction -2. If the students will be late in submitting both hard and soft copy the instructor have right to deduct the marks.
· The students combing web based project and HCI project should select the relevant topic.
· The report should be submitted with title page then 2nd page should printed with the criteria of “Description of marking criteria”.

Essay assignment writing guidelines
Introduction
The topic of the essay should be introduced, defined and explained. Write the advantages and disadvantages related to the essay (Please note that the topic should be discussed related to interaction design).
Related work
Provide the related work at least from the 10 references. The related work consists of previous researches in the areas, guidelines, techniques etc. proposed in this area at the result of previous contributions.
Analysis
In this section select two or more applications/software/hardware related to topic. It is required to select the applications from similar domain, not from different domains. First, write the application specifications. Provide the comparison and contrast in the applications. Provide your own analysis of selected applications.
Discussion and conclusion
In this section, it is required to discuss the selected applications. First discuss that what is your overall observations on the selected application. Then discuss how certain application are best suitable in specific use cases or situations. At the end write what you have concluded from this essay.
References
Please select APA, or IEEE or some formal references style. Also provide the proper citation in the essay by following the correct citations rules [1] or (author,date). Also tables and figures should be properly cited.
You are required to check the plagiarism of your essay before submission and it must be below 20% otherwise you will get zero marks. Rephrase the essay sentences to avoid the plagiarism.
This essay will be marked on various criteria such as formatting, style, technical contents, citations etc. if the students are failed to follow these guidelines, they will lose the marks.
