You work for the organization “Dupont Inc” within the finance department. This organization is expanding and has just purchased a competitor (a family business) called “Alouette solutions”. Your boss, the director of finance, asks you to go visit Alouette solutions and bring him back information on the organization. INFORMATION YOU GATHERED AT ALOUETTE SOLUTIONS
Michel works for Amy, he’s an operator. Alain is the Production Vice-President. Marguerite report to Melanie. Kevin is a financial clerk. Anthony is in charge of the sale’s department. There are 25 operators in total. Alain and Tristan report to Melanie. Jonathan works with Kevin, he’s a manager. There are 4 departments : sales, finance, production, research & development. Marguerite is an accountant. Amy works for Alain, she’s a manager. Melanie is the owner. She is a friendly woman. She likes having good relationship with people. Even if the organization is having product quality, she keeps her smile. But the organization now has a bad reputation, customers aren’t satisfied. And the production department is unable to fix the problem. The vicepresident doesn’t go much on the manufacturing floor. He’s talking a lot on his cell phone, it seems like he’s having family problems. This creates a huge problem with the sales department since they must deal with customer’s complaints. In fact, the budget sales was 1,000,000$ while the actual figures are 387,000$. There was a budgeted profit of 500,000$ (rent 100,000$, salaries 300,000$, material 100,00$) but the rents increased by 30%, the salaries by 42% and the material by 27%. Melanie doesn’t know if results are profit or loss since Marguerite hasn’t provide any reports (she’s been sick with the Covid for the last 6 months)
