Health Care System of the State of Maryland

According to the analysis that involved twenty-nine metrics by the “WalletHub Website.” The healthcare cost, healthcare outcomes, and health care accessibility are relatively cheap in the State of Maryland. This system’s health care system is determined to revolutionize its health care system by providing quality healthcare to the patients and making health care services more accessible by all people living within the state (Mojtabai et al. 2017). The state’s health team focuses on improving patient access and increasing affordability by shifting towards an effective system that will prioritize the patients’ outcomes in the state. Since different patients tend to respond differently to medicine, Maryland’s health care system is determined to design and improve its health care system to reflect these variations or differences. America’s biopharmaceutical organizations are working tirelessly to establish innovative and precise ways to attain the medicine that will leverage on results, low cost, and enable all the patients to have access to the right and effective form of treatment. This paper analyzes how the Nuka system of care can be improved to maximize the health care outcomes to the State of Maryland (Delanois et al. 2017). Despite Maryland becoming the model for other states on the health care system, the state still faces many challenges in executing health care policies. Lack of enough finance is among the significant problems that hinder the state from attaining quality health care to its people. The state faces a shortage of nurses and physicians, an Opioid crisis, technical deficiency, and poor patient outcomes.

Nuka System of care of the State of Maryland

Nuka system of care is considered the most distinctive approach of the health care design that came into place due to the “Southcentral Foundation.” It is a giant structure developed to provide dental, medical, traditional, behavioral, and other health care support services to many patients. The system has dramatically helped manage and control chronic diseases among the people and improve health care costs so that it is accessible by all people. As well as improving the wellness of people in general. However, the Nuka health care system can only realize its vision and mission of attaining the state and country’s emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental wellness if the health system reflects the people’s needs, especially those with chronic conditions. The community engagement within this system should be upgraded in the care transformation and quality improvement. The healthcare system’s focus should rely on establishing and cementing the relationship between the health care providers and the customer-owners of the system and the effectiveness of the system to serve the ever-increasing population of the state and country.

Improvement of the Nuka Care System

Increasing the Nuka health care system’s potential and capability in the order remains effective and serves the state and country; it is essential for the experts in the health care system to restructure the system to accommodate all parameters of the health sector. A reliable and significant relationship is critical across all the health institutions for the developed health care system to accomplish organizational goals, work plans, and objectives. When integrating the Nuka system, the organization should assess and build a giant and robust culture that will foster trust and motivate the shared decision-making process. The strong relationship across the organizations will enhance the aspect of innovation and creativity. The second way the system can be restructured to meet the health care goals is by utilizing management. The system’s management has not solidly proved to be efficient and effective in dealing with new healthcare system changes ushered in by new diseases and technological changes.

The management of the system should strictly asses the prior authorization to identify all risk levels within an external system by organizing all the parameters of the workflow using specific criteria like pharmacy data, patient data, among other criteria. Utilization management can be integrated with population management of the state of Maryland. The use of the “Evidence –based guidelines and authorization rules,” underutilization management will help to remind the cohorts to remain focus and efficient in the process of ensuring compliance. The population management should be attained through activating the campaigns concerning the state population by sending correspondence (Jones, 2017). Or case management. Another way to improve the Nuka care system is through customer service. The management of the organization utilizing the system should connect the client’s service aids using case management practices. They should develop the new issue, present a swift answer, and effectively rout the right caseworker’s challenge. The last way to improve is by developing advanced analytics that may be used as a system’s predictive model. The use of “customizable dashboards and drill-down metrics “integrated with industry-standard elements will reduce system operating costs and improve outcomes.

New facility to improve the health care of the community

The use of the “Telehealth Application” as the new technology or facility in the health care system can control chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer that are the main burden to the Americans. This technology will help manage chronic diseases in the community through “Chronic Disease Management” programs. Implementing this health I.T. will broadly improve patients’ care and reduce the cost of treatment but optimize health outcomes. The technology will remotely connect the health care providers with the patients in the “community in co-management of the chronic disease,” maximizing the health care outcomes and maintaining the patients’ wellness. The remote monitoring of electronic devices and the use of health electronic health records will expand traditional “Telehealth network” to provide efficient and effective CDM functions for the sick people and the health care providers (Gottlieb, 2017). Telehealth applications and electronic health records will enhance the health care system in the patient attendance and management of the chronic diseases that threaten Americans. The facility will monitor patients both at home and in health care facilities reducing congestion in hospitals and gapping the problem of congested patients and limited beds.

In conclusion, to enhance competition in the health care system and improve the health care system’s affordability, the organizations should leverage much on the patient outcome since patients are the key elements in the health sector. The health institutions should revolutionize the breakthrough medicine where health care is made more affordable by people from different backgrounds. Rewarding the best results for patients can be used as one of the elements to improve patients’ affordability (Engel et al., 2020). The strong relationship across the organizations will enhance the aspect of innovation and creativity. The second way the system can be restructured to meet the health care goals is by utilizing management. Ensuring the patients in the community obtain a better deal on medicine can help improve the people’s health care and maintain their wellbeing.
