Sentence Construction

Rewrite the following to improve clarity and focus:

1. First after my basketball career is over, I would like to be a sports agent or manager.

2. Many people look at me as laid back and a cool person to be around because I’m a positive person and I’m a big believer in if you have positive people around you positive things will happen whether you’re off the court where on the court you may see a different side of me.

3. Watching TV is something I do enjoy to do once in a while.

4. Though I do not enjoy shows that have a lot of drama such as “Basketball Wives” and “Love in Hip Hop.”

5. There were often times while meeting different people; I was given the encouragement to go after my dreams.

6. But being me I never got upset or sad about my unique name I just laughed at the jokes they said about me and made jokes about their name.

7. I am the type of person that loves to have fun, I dislike staying home.

8. Once I began attending college I had a lot more responsibilities than ever.

9. But I had to organize my classes and when all my work was due, but I still had to make time for me to have a break and have my time.

10. I’m a very energetic person from when I was young to me now.

11. The oldest of the pack is my big brother Jason who is 26, then my oldest sister Jennifer that’s 25, and then there’s the star of the family me age 20.

12. One of my favorite things that I have learned that can possibility get me far in life is education I wasn’t really a fan of the early morning alarm saying “’hey time to get up!” in middle school but in high school it became a very important because in High School there were no more excuses.

13. In my years in High school I was introduced to a Nursing Class.

14. I would of never experienced this life changing decision if I wasn’t for my teacher Mrs.Tracey Petty the reason that I decided to further my education.

15. And a unique sense of humor.
