Biblical Basis Project Outline Instructions

Each student is assigned a book of the Bible to research regarding the biblical basis and guidelines for helping the poor and needy. Each student is to utilize the Bible and at least 3 other sources (books or journal articles) when developing this project. Each student may use the course textbooks, but they do not count toward the 3 additional sources. The reference page must be in current APA format and contain all the sources used in the project including the textbooks when applicable. All sources listed on the reference page must be referred to in the project.

Each student submits an outline of the project to be presented, which includes the following information: book of the Bible researched, information from the book of the Bible about helping the poor and needy, supporting sources, and the creative plan for the presentation of the material. Creativity is a requirement for this project. Some ideas for creativity include the use of poetry, music, drama, art, story, etc. Please note, students view each others’ projects in module 8.

This project assesses Measureable Learning Outcomes D, E, F, and G.

· Last names starting with the letters C–D will research Ruth or Psalms.

· Last names starting with the letters E–G will research Proverbs or Isaiah.

· Last names starting with the letters H–K will research Jeremiah, Micah, or Malachi.

· Last names starting with the letters L–N will research Matthew or Mark.

· Last names starting with the letters O – R will research Luke, Acts, or Romans.

· Last names starting with the letters S – T will research II Corinthians or Galatians.

· Last names starting with the letters U–Z will research James or I Timothy.
