INTRODUCTION

Increasing traffic has become one of the major problems in large metropolitan cities all over the world. Peak- hour traffic in the cities of the United States is among the prime example of our modern society’s operations. As mentioned by (Downs, 2004), the traffic usually occurs due to desires of individuals to achieve certain goal/aim at a specific time that inevitably surpass the ability of a road system to manage. The cumulative traffic has been increasing even after the introduction of new initiatives by the government. In light of this issue, it has been found that one of the major traffic found by the common individual is at the airport.

The airports of the United States are considered as one of the busiest airports in the world. Due to this, it has become obvious for an individual to find traffic on airport roads. As per (Alia, 2019), the United States airlines along with foreign airlines carried more than 1 billion passengers (including domestic and international flight) in 2018. The numbers were 4.8 percent higher than the previous year’s report. This shows how transportation has been increasing at the airport with rapidness. Due to this increase, it has been noticed that the process of getting into a plane that starts from reaching the airport until getting booked seat has become time-consuming. This research paper is mainly for individuals who do not want to be late or to miss their plane and aims to inform the individual about the time it takes at the airport along with management techniques.

There are various problems associated with traffic which has been reducing the quality of life of individuals. One of the major problems is air pollution. Due to air pollution generated in traffic, the individuals have stropped commuting at peak hours. However, the smoke and other gases generated by the traffic has been affecting the health of individual with drastic effects.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TOPIC, REASON FOR SELECTION OF THE TOPIC, AND IMPACT ON PERSONALITY.

It’s very important to arrive airport on time because on the off chance that you have at any point verged on failing to catch a plane, at that point you realize exactly how distressing it tends to be to watch those minutes tick off the clock although you attempt to race to your entryway. Being an international student from China, it took me a lot of time to understand the mechanism of traffic and how not to be late at the airport. The reason behind writing an essay on this topic was my struggle of getting at the airport on time at the start of my journey at the Los Angeles International airport. The experience of the LAX has tough me a lot of things and has contributed to my personality. One of the qualities added through this experience is time management.

· After spending time over here and experienced missed flights due to traffic jams and inadequate scheduling .I learned that there are various ways through which an individual could avoid being late to the airport. First of all, showing up before the expected time enough could reduce one’s worries about failing to catch your plane as suggested by (Chester). Regardless of whether one runs into a suddenly long queue at security or hit an automobile overload while in transit to the air terminal, one will have a “cradle” worked in which will spare one the pressure as well as bother of dashing to one door. As per my perspective, one of the reasons behind missing the flight is mismanagement of the time.

· DISCUSSION OF TRAFFIC BY POPULAR CULTURE

Growing traffic has become a common issue is urban cities. Peak hour traffic blockage is a natural outcome of the way wherein present-day social requests work. With 87.9% of America’s suburbanites using private vehicles, just as millions expecting to move at comparable events of the day, USA’s key issue is that the road system of the United States is not able to manage top hour loads. The traffic news at airport reports has become common for citizens of the United States. As per the reviews collected through social media, it has been found that it has become difficult for individuals to catch their flights due to extreme traffic at airport roads and inside the airport. The people of the United States believe in fast moving so that they could utilize their time productively. However, the traffic issue not only reduces their productivity by consuming lots of time but also by disturbing mentally.

The traffic has also increased congestion problem due to which individuals has stopped going outside of their home at peak hours as most of them gets frustrated by the noises, pollution and time wastage. It has not only affecting the lives of the nationals but also businesses. As the world population has been increasing at drastic rates, it has been creating numerous problems by reducing the standards of life. One of the leading problems which have not been linked with the increasing population by the analysts is traffic. The rate of travelers through different means has been increasing at drastic rates. In the United States, the growth rate of airport passengers has increased by 4.8 percent. Moreover, as the technology has been increasing and it has become easy for individuals to afford cars and other common commutation vehicles, it has been found that the traffic has become common in major urban cities of the United States.

Almost everyone today is depending upon the usage of these vehicles to move from one place to another place which has caused huge traffics on roads. Due to this, lots of people get late for their work, schools, and other commitment. One of the most common complain found related to traffic is missing flights as mentioned by (Morgan). The majority of the worse traffics is found on the roads of the airport due to the high rate of individuals traveling through the same medium.

However, there are various ways which could not only control the traffic but also save lots of time for individuals. In terms of government initiatives, the government could increase their public traveling mediums so that the usage of cars could be reduced and the usage of common vehicles could be encouraged. The government could also increase the road capacity so that the crowd could be managed effectively as suggested by (ele., 2004).

Furthermore, in the perspective of individuals, showing up before the expected time enough could reduce one’s worries about failing to catch your plane. I have found in my library research that traffic blockage is a time-consuming and frustrating test for individuals living in metropolitan cities. As the incredible movement to urban areas proceeds over the world, in addition to the commonness of the car as the essential type of transportation for urban occupants keeps on rising, traffic blockage will just increment in seriousness. Mechanization has improved the existence of various individuals as well as social guidelines, yet the benefits have proven to be costly as discussed by (Downs, 2004). Despite these benefits and facts of the number of death caused by street accidents in upper-class economies validate a downward shape in late eras, for most of the world’s masses, the heaviness of road traffic injury concerning social besides, fiscal costs are rising considerably. Injuries, as well as passing’s due to street traffic mishaps, are a significant common problem in creating an economy as mentioned by (Gopalakrishnan, 2012). Moreover, the noise caused by the traffic horn has increased noise population hence disturbing the life of individuals living in the urban cities and nearby airports as further illustrated by (Alia, 2019). The traffic has also created extreme congestion which leads to frustration. Due to this, people are not able to perform their daily activities productively.

· MY PERSPECTIVE AND ACADEMIC PERSFECTIVE

Whatever I found in library research and whatever I have experienced personally speaks the same that road traffic has caused by the growing population of the world as well as the increasing number of vehicles on the roads. Almost everyone today is depending upon the usage of these vehicles to move from one place to another place which has caused huge traffics on roads. This makes the travel to the airport a long time; as a result of this many people miss their flights. The cumulative traffic has been increasing even after the introduction of new initiatives by the government. In light of this issue, it has been found that one of the major traffic found by the common individual is at the airport.

The main reasons for behind increased traffic at airport are increased domestic and international flights, mismanagement of airport authority and traffic police. The problem of traffic may seem to be normal, but it could also affect one’s health as noise caused by the traffic could mentally disturb the individuals. Moreover, the air pollution caused by the traffic has also proven to be dangerous for individuals as the pollution generate various dangerous gases like carbon monoxide and smog as mentioned by (Gopalakrishnan, 2012).

CONCLUSION

The blockage caused by traffic has become a leading issue faced by the citizen of urban cities in all over the world. The traffic usually occurs due to the desires of individuals to achieve a certain goal/aim at a specific time that inevitably surpass the ability of a road system to manage. As per (Alia, 2019), the United States airlines along with foreign airlines carried more than 1 billion passengers (including domestic and international flight) in 2018 which were 4.8 percent higher than the previous year’s report. Due to the increasing traffic, it is very important to research more about ‘It’s a long time travel to the Airport’. Through this report, one can find out the main factor causing people to arrive late at airports and miss their flights. If more and more studies are done on this topic, there will be more solutions to this which can save one’s time, help them arrive at their destinations on time and many more benefits will be the result, whereas ignorance of this topic will cause many delays, time consumptions, fuel consumptions and road accidents which will cost many precious lives.

However, there are various ways through which the government could reduce the problem of traffic not just at airports but at other major stops as well. The government could charge peak- hour tolls to reduce the rate of individuals travelling at peak hours. The government could also expend their road capacity so that the cars could move as a fast pace. Moreover, the government could also expend its public transit capacity to facilitate the travellers.
