It pains my heart when I see my fellow loyalist Americans claiming that they need freedom. Staying connected to Britain is the best thing that we can do for ourselves. It is a great way to avoid calamities and horror as well as wars from France. I am a Southern plantation owner who depends on the guaranteed protection and trade with the Europeans. Remember my fellow Americans, those treaties that allow us trade was signed by Britain with Europe under England’s Name. Independence will lead to a poor economy and leading to internal conflicts (Linker, 2009). Independence will make us lose on such advantages, and the best way to go about it is to settle the dispute with Great Britain. How soon have you forgotten the efforts Britain made to save us from the hands of France? If they were that powerful to save us, how powerful are they then to prevent us from gaining independence? How sure are you that the King of Great Britain will not do anything with his power to acquire the colonies?
It is high time to embrace this excellent system of government where the King is in charge of all the people. How is it wonderful to have a king that influences all people? We cannot ignore the misery, devastation, and horror the people attempting to gain independence are facing. Demanding for democracy will expose us to wars as we can see our friends Rome and Greece, who are constantly in a state of wars. True liberty will only be acquired through reconciliation with the Great Britain authority. After all that, it is evident that independence is equivalent to slavery.
